GNO

Another fun thing about St. Patrick's Day is that Grammy and I had a little Girl's Night Out since Kelly was having a guys night for March Madness.  Of course Treagan was invited to come along, and he loved hangin with the girls!  Bummer that Allie was out of town, cuz we missed her!  But we went shopping (for the babe of course), got pedicures, and had some din at Red Rock Cafe.  Then we put the baby to bed, ate ice cream and watched a chick flick, and then got up the next morning to go to my cousin Mitch's homecoming!  Super fun night.  So grateful to have my mama as my bestest friend in the world. . . I don't know what we'd do without her!
Being a good sport while we shop.
He loved soaking his little footies too!
Gettin a pedi with Grammy!
Oh no. . . Look what Grammy started.  He's gonna be a sugar addict I just know it.
All done with Church. . . Hip hip hooray!

Happy St. Patty's Day!

This is what I've lived for I tell you!  Having kids to do things for is so much fun!  It's just sweet to have an excuse to go back to feeling like a kid again.  So even though Trey has no idea what traditions we are starting, he someday will.  And I am sure he will love traditions as much as I do!  The leprechauns came to visit the Behunin home last night while we were sleeping.  They came and dyed all of our breakfast foods green!  I think we all consumed way too much green dye today, we might just turn into leprechauns. I couldn't bring myself to do green scrambled eggs, so I stuck with green pancakes, green milk, and green fruit dip.  Trey seriously was having the time of his life eating his green pancakes.  He loves to eat real food.  Forget that baby stuff.  Anyway, Happy 1st St. Patrick's Day Tay Tay!  We love you so much big boy.
The note from the Leprechauns

The Leprechauns went potty in our toilet, gross.

What we woke up to

This boy loves nothing more than breakfast in bed with Mommy, Daddy, and Holly.

I dunno why, but his little crossed ankles are my favorite thing about this pic.

Getting ready to leave Grammy's and get my swim on!
How grateful are Treagan and I for the good friends we both have in our lives!?  Words can't even explain it.  Anyway, we got to get together with two of those friends this last week to take Treagan for his very first swim!  We met Melissa and Jackson in SL at the Sports Mall, and went for a little dip in the pool there.  We all had so much fun!  Then we got all cleaned up and went to Rio for some din, and then we went to the park for a super long walk.  It couldn't have been more perfect, and we are loving this beautiful weather that allows us to do so many more fun things!  We love you Jacks and Meliss!  Thanks for being such good friends, can't wait to do it again!

Got my baby back!

I am so grateful that we survived the last couple of weeks, and that our happy and healthy baby is back!  Taking care of a baby is exhausting enough, but a sick grumpy one is almost too much for me to handle for very long!  I just felt so bad for him because I knew he was so miserable, and I felt completely helpless.
Something that really drives me nuts is when people knowingly bring their sick baby around my healthy baby.  And now something that drives me even more nuts is that I am officially guilty of it!  Well, not the knowingly part. . . But I was told that once Trey was done throwing up for 24 hours that he was no longer contagious.  So I was super diligent in keeping him home and quarantined during those several days.  Well, once he was done barfing I thought we had the green light to play with people again.  At that point he still had some pretty impressive diarrhea, but I was told he wasn't contagious!!!!  WRONGO.  Let's just say just about every single person Treagan came in contact with last week came down with the evil bug.  UGH.  I seriously cry every time someone tells me they are now sick.  I just feel horrible.  I guess this is one of the many tough lessons I am going to learn as a new mommy, but it's been a difficult one for me.  I thought I was so careful.  I thought I was the mom that would never allow my child to get other people sick.  I blew it.  Anyway, to any of you poor friends/fam out there that might read this, that we infected, we are so so sorry!  Never, ever again.  Not from the Behunins.  Anywho, that makes me depressed to think about, so I am going to post some pictures of my fully recovered, diarrhea and throw up free, baby.  I promise he's not contagious anymore!!!  Haha anyone dare play with us?
After another haircut. . . so handsome!

He'll eat anything
Dangerously close to crawling
Just watchin the Today show
Luckily Treagan and I were feeling better when the weekend rolled around so we were able to do a "Birthday Redo."  We went to the mall to do some shopping and then we ate din at one of my faves, CPK.

We ordered Trey his first meal from a kids menu. . . Mac and Cheese.  Me and Kelly ate more of it than he did.

Cousins by chance. . . Friends by choice

Today we got a super fun visit from Trey's cousin, Cannon.  He and Gentry came to see us all the way from Ogden.  It was so cute to watch the little guys play together, and I just can't wait for them to grown up being bestest buds.  I really wish we lived closer and got to see more of them because they are so fun to be with, but we will take what we can get!  Thanks for coming to see us today, we both LOVED IT and LOVE YOU BOTH!

. . . My Baby You'll Be.

Bath #3 for the day. . .
Well this week has definitely not been our best.  Starting Monday morning, Treagan came down with his first bout of the stomach flu.  He was pretty miserable Monday, did okay Tuesday, and then last night was a nightmare.  Kelly and I went to check on him before we went to bed and found him laying in the biggest puddle of puke, just sleeping right through it.  Saddest sight in all the world to see your sweet little bundle covered from head to toe!  So I took him and bathed him (again), Kelly took down his bedding in the crib and put on some clean ones, and we put him back to bed.  Then at 2 he was up crying and wouldn't stop unless I held him upright against me.  So I held him like that from 2 til about 6, and I was completely exhausted.  So Kelly got up with him for then next hour before he had to be to work.  He slept a little longer this morning, and then came the most piercing screams for not even kidding. . . 2 hours straight.  Completely inconsolable.  This is the part of being a Mama that is just so hard.  I didn't know what to do or how to help him.   Tried cuddling, tried toys, tried just about everything I could think of and nothing was working.  I didn't know if it was just that the poor boy was starving since he hasn't eaten in 3 days, or if his tummy was just hurting, or what!!!  So I said a little prayer, called my mom (of course), and decided to listen to what everything was telling me and take him in to the doctor.  I was super hesitant to because A) I work there, so I feel stupid not knowing what to do with a sick child when that's what I do all day is tell other mom's how to take care of their sick babies.  And B) because I didn't think they could do anything for him since the stomach bug is just a stupid virus.  I decided to put my pride aside and just go get him checked out.  They said, well he's probably miserable because not only is his stomach cramping from the stomach bug, but he has an EAR INFECTION!  What the?  And on top of the stomach flu they thought the oral antibiotics would just be too much for his little tummy to handle so they gave him a big shot of Rocephin.  Sad.  Sad.  Sad.  I feel sick every time I give a baby Rocephin because the needle is so freaking huge.  So when it was my own baby, man did it hurt!  Yes, all 3 of us left the office teary.  Luckily Daddy showed up right in time to help us get through the worst of it, and to give him a blessing during his lunch break.  (Which by the way Kellster, I am SO grateful for you and the Priesthood!!!!) Anwyay,  I'm sure this sounds totally dramatic.   It's just the stomach flu.  It's just an ear infection.  Yes it will pass!  But still, getting through it is causing lots of heartbreak and tears here in the Behunin household.  Anyway, hopefully the meds start kicking in soon and we can get our happy little baby back pronto!  Meanwhile, no matter what comes our way Baby Trey,  "I"ll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living, MY BABY YOU'LL BE!!!"  I'd do anything for you.  Get better soon Tay Tay!

. . .and onto 7 MONTHS already!!!

7 months- 18 lbs.
Our sweet guy is now 7 months!  I know I've said this a gazillion times, but I can't believe how fast the time is going.  He's already very mobile and is totally giving us a run for our money.  He can roll all over the place and is going to be crawling any day already!  He gets up on all fours and rocks back and forth, and then collapses when he tries to move.  I guess it's time to baby proof our house.  He is starting to babble and of course he likes to chant, "DA-DA-DA-DA."  It melts my heart because I see the way Kelly melts when he says it.  He'll occasionally yelp out a "MA" every now and again just so I'll keep changing his diapers and feeding him, but they are few and far between.  It's fun to start to hear his little voice though.  A few of his favorite things these days are:

HOLLY-  He loves the dog.  She keeps him very entertained and he loves to laugh at her and try to steal her toys.  Luckily she is so good to him and has tons of patience!  She never snaps at him, and I think she loves him as much as he loves her.
BOTTLES- He still loves to have a bottle every 3 hours.  He will tolerate the baby foods, but still isn't fully invested in them and most of the time just wants to drink his ba ba.  I guess his favorites of the baby foods are sweet potatoes, the apple, pear, and banana combo, and banana custard though.
BINKERS- Lately he has liked his binkies again.  He sort of stopped wanting them for a little while, but he likes them again!  YAY!  I love them because they look so cute in his mouth, and because it's nice to have something to give him to keep him quiet!

ORANGES-  We have recently discovered that when nothing else can make him happy and orange can!  I know babies aren't supposed to have tons of citrus because of the acidity, but sometimes we give in and give him a little slice, and I swear nothing makies him happier!  He totally has a meltdown when we take it away from him.
This is how sad he gets when the orange is all gone.
THE REMOTE and  CELL PHONES-  The kid has so many toys just for him and all he ever really wants is the remote or our phones.  Crazy man.

MUM MUMS-  His favorite baby snack.  They are so messy, but he loves them and they keep him entertained.   Therefore, I love them too.

TUBBY-  Trey still loves getting a bath every night.  Just when he's completely done and exhausted for the day we put him in the tub and suddenly our happy baby is back!  He kicks his legs like a mad man and gets me soaking wet every time.  We always try and wait for tubby time until Kelly gets home so he can play with him for a little bit before he has to unwind.  The bedtime routine is really the only family time we get during the week, so we all enjoy it.

FINGER FOODS-  I think more than any of the baby foods Treagan likes to eat whatever we are eating.  And our doctor gave us the green light to pretty much give him whatever (except for the obvious no no's).  So he has little bits of pancakes, bread, fruit, veggies, and anything else we eat that is soft enough for a little human with NO TEETH!

SHOPPING-  T dawg is such a good sport to be my little shopping buddy.  I thought I needed a daughter for these kinds of things, but nope!  Turns out he loves shopping too!  It's a nice way to get in our walks and not have to bundle up.
OUTSIDE-  He's just like me and loves more than anything to be outside!  Please bless that the weather will get warm soon so we can go out more!  We still bundle up and go for a walk (or two, or three) just about everyday.  But it'd be even more fun if we could stop having to put on so many layers!

BEING A WIGGLE WORM-  The kid can't sit still for very long.  Not sure how we are going to manage 3 hours of church anymore!  It seems like all of the moms around me have their baby neatly placed on their laps and there they stay for 3 hours fully entertained by the same toy the entire time!  Then there's me.  He wants on my lap, he wants off my lap, he tries to crawl on the gym floor, then he's crying because he bonked his head, then he's laughing at the next toy I pull out of my bag, then he wants a book. . . It's exhausting I tell you!  He is everywhere!  Mellow is definitely not his middle name. . . But we love this about him.
Anyway, he's just growing and changing so much and couldn't make two parents any more proud!  He's got a pretty sweet little temperament but also can be a little class clown and a spit fire from time to time.  He's starting to learn how to throw little tantrums and I'm not gonna lie,  they are just a little bit hilarious.  Both Kelly and I are total suckers, and usually get him whatever he wants.  Spoiled baby.  The little dude is weighing in at 18 lbs these days and I think he is going to take after Daddy and have a nice large stature!  We love you little T!  Keep being the bestest boy!
