Thankful...

"A grateful heart... comes through expressing gratitude to our Heavenly Father for His blessings, and to those around us for all that they bring into our lives..."

-President Thomas S. Monson

I LOOOOVE this time of year... I love the feeling in the air with the holidays just around the corner. I especially love how it helps me to slow down from the craziness of life and really think about all that I have to be thankful for. Last year one of my new year's resolutions was to keep a gratitude journal and write down just one thing every single day that I was grateful for. I think I made it to like January 30th. Shoot. But I loved the 30 days I actually did do it, cuz I really spent tons more time focusing on all the good in my life instead of wasting energy on the things that can get me down. Anyway, first and foremost this year, I am thankful for KELLY O BEHUNIN. Love my man. Seriously, how lucky am I to spend every day with him? I'm thankful for my MAMA. Honestly, she's the best person I've ever known. I wouldn't smile near as much if it weren't for her. I'm thankful for my whole FAMILY. Both my families. I love the Lauros and I love the Behunins. Both bring such happiness and fun times to my life. Thankful for HOLLY JO. She makes me laugh every single day. Thankful for FRIENDS. Both old and new. Could not do life without you. I'm thankful for the GOSPEL. The peace and joy I recieve from it everyday keeps me going. I'm thankful for my JOB. I'm so blessed to be able to do what I love every single day. I'm thankful for our HOUSE. We're so fortunate to live in such a wonderful place. Anyway.. I really have such a great life. I'm such a blessed girl in SO many ways. I hope I can be better at counting my MANY blessings on a daily basis! Happy Thanksgiving! We're off to Idaho to be with the rest of the Behunin Bunch for the weekend! WOOT WOOT!

Holly Jo.. Hollypeno... Biggie... Hollister... Bug-a-boo... Biggs... Bug... Monkey... CUTEST PUPPY IN THE WORLD!!!

Holly and her "steakie"... She loves this little T-bone Grandpa B gave her a while back. She won't go anywhere without it. Eats, sleeps, uses the bathroom with it, etc.

Oh... we are just having so much fun with our crazy little dog. She just gets bigger, crazier, and more loved with each passing day. We could not have asked for a more perfect puppy for us. It's fun to see Kelly be a daddy to her. I just can't wait to see the kind of dad he is to our actual babies! Here's some pics of her as she's grown over the past 9 months. We love her!

She was finally ours! This is us taking her home the very first day!

It didn't take Holly long to find a friend her own size at home.

A friend gave us this little sweater and we just could not take her seriously when she'd wear it! Haha we just laugh when we look at this pic... Love that fluff ball of a head.

Holly used to always have her tongue sticking out. Cracked us up!

Yes her entire head used to be the size of a tennis ball, so tiny!

She didn't love her kennel. Puppies chew on anything and EVERYTHING!

This is a typical Sunday at the Behunin home. I love those two so much!

When she was learning to go potty outside she'd sneak under our bed and lay poops for us to find later. She used to be embarassed to let anyone see her do her business so she thought she was so smart to do it where we couldn't find it. Took us a few weeks to figure out where that smell in our bedroom was coming from! Thank you Holly for finally figuring out the correct place to lay your marbles.

Holly got a little worn out on one of our hikes this summer so Daddy carried her :)

Love that face!!!

The girls

Holly's first experience on our boat! She's a Behunin girl. She LOVED boating!

What a proud Papa!

HALLOWEEEN!!! (this year and last)

I think Holly had a good time at the party... did somebody spike her rootbeer? She looks hungover.
The Princess, the Punk, and Snooki

Yes I won the Jello shots game... Why am I so competitive?
Just eatin din at the party...
Holly is so hardcore
The Behunin Bunch... Punk style
This year, we went over to the Fuller's for a Halloween party. It was a BLAST! Punks, Snooki and The Situation, A Knight, Princess, and Dragon, Tiger Woods and his mistress, a hunter and his deer, Dorothy, the Scarecrow, and the Lion etc, etc, etc. Way fun!

Grandpa and Grandma B

This was us for Halloween last year...Oh I LOVE dressing up. Kelly wasn't so sure about it, but I think he's caught on real quick. You marry me, and you dress up for Halloween. Simple as that :) He's such a good sport. And let's be honest... He's such a HOT grandpa! I've got so much to look forward to.

Wish we could say, "HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS!"

Well the football season is in full swing and I guess ya know what that means... Nice knowin ya Kelly, see ya after the superbowl! Partially kidding... Pretty sure we've learned how to love and embrace football together. We spent the weekend in Dallas for our annual trip to see our Cowboys. It was such a fun trip and in fact, we are trying to figure out how and when we could ever move there... that's how awesome it was. Our Texas friends, the Dowdles, are so great. They let us stay in their home each year, along with Sherrs too. They have the cutest little twins I've ever seen. I think I read "Pinkalicious" to Clara 100 times in 3 days, and put little Carter up in the air on my feet and yelled "To infinity and beyond!!" just as many times. I don't think two little faces have ever made me happier though. I'm not gonna lie... I was actually super sad when they had to get put down for their naps. Love them. So anyway, our reason for goin down south was to hit the Monday night Cowboys/Giants game. And we did. And I'm not sure Kelly even wants me to talk about it. The Cowboys this year are just painful for us. And having Romo break his collarbone is not going to help the situation one bit. But despite the loss, we had a blast this last weekend! We'll miss Popcorn Papas, hittin up QT and our Rooster Boosters, Springcreek BBQ, seeing Cowboy attire everywhere, the Dowdle fam, hangin with Sherry, eating like we're starving all the time, tailgating, and I will miss being within 100 yards of Miles Austin! But going home to our little Holly Jo makes leaving not quite as depressing. Oh she's so cute! She cried when she saw us. Thanks to Penny and Jared and my mama for always being so willing to watch her for us! Go Cowboys.

I think somebody missed Daddy...
